Church Officers

Rev. Jesse Pirschel is the Minister of Providence Presbyterian Church. Rev. Pirschel is married to Linette (aka “Lenny”) Pirschel. Together they have four children; Maya, Solomon, Silas and Israel.

Formerly a Calvary Chapel pastor, Jesse came to believe the Reformed faith was a more Biblically faithful expression of the Christian faith. Since leaving Calvary, he graduated with an M.Div from Reformed Theological Seminary in Orlando and served as an intern at Harvest OPC in Vista, CA. In 2004, Jesse was called by God to serve as the Pastor of the Temecula congregation.

Rev. Don Poundstone is an elder of Providence Presbyterian Church. Rev. Poundstone has been an OPC minister for 36 years and is currently serving as the Regional Home Missionary for the Presbytery of Southern California. Rev. Poundstone is married to Carolyn Poundstone. Together the Poundstones have four children; Timothy, Benjamin, Margaret and Andrew.

Elder Kurt Schmidt is serving as an elder of Providence Presbyterian Church. Elder Schmidt has served as an elder of the Harvest Orthodox Presbyterian Church in Vista, California for 13 years and he previously served as an elder of New Life OPC in San Diego. He is happily married to his bride of 25 years Kristi. Together the Schmidts have 4 children as well; Rachel, Bethany, Erik and Eliza.
